UK MFE program enquiries (please advice)

Postby dave_L » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:53 am

Dear all,

I got MSc Fin Math / MFE offers from the following universities in UK:

1. Birkbeck College, University of London - MSc Financial Engineering
2. University of Leicester - MSc Financial Mathematics and Computation
3. University of Essex - MSc Computational Finance
4. University of York - MSc Statistics and Computational Finance

But I am still thinking which one to pick....Obviously Birkbeck and York are better deals but I am now somehow indifferent between the two......
May I have some advices from you guys on this?

Million thanks!

Dave

York has some good people.

Birkbeck does too I think...

I'd probably go for York simply because the University has a good rep.

But Birkbeck seems to have distinctive advantage in position (London)

York seems to have better rep... I am from hong kong and I would like to work in uk if there's such opportunity.

Some said York's math department isn't that renowned. What do you think MJ?
