Master of Financial Mathematics at UQ

Hi MJ and all,

I am from Queensland and am currently enrolled in diploma of science (maths major) at UQ. I plan to use this as a bridging course to master of science - financial mathematics at UQ (http://www.uq.edu.au/study/plan_display.html?acad_plan=FNMATX5244) and intend to get a quant role job after graduation. I need some advices with following questions:

1. Would I be able to acquire sufficient quant skills with this program for a job,
2. How much does the Australia industry value this master program compare to UTS MQF.
3. Anyone know much about job prospect of quant analyst in Queensland?

I do plan to travel anywhere (including overseas) for jobs after graduation or pursue PHD if necessary.

i've never heard of this program so can't say much,

I never heard of any quant jobs in queensland,
