transitioning into quant finance from finance background

Prof Joshi, I graduated from finance honours (Melb Uni) 2 years ago and has been in the workforce ever since. Always interested to be quants, but I realised that my math and programming skills are pretty much non existent. They do teach us some programming + financial maths in finance's 3 years course + honours and I did very well in the quantitative subjects, but I think what I learned are still quite elementary.

My goal is to ultimately do MFE course in the top universities in the US, but I saw that the prerequisites include some maths and programming skills that I don't have. Do you know of any preparation course for people from pure finance background like me so that I can satisfy the prerequisites of these courses ? What's the fastest way to get there ?

thanks Professor, really appreciate you setting up the forum and answering questions of wannabe quants like me
