Master de Probabilités et Finance (El Karoui) - Paris

Postby PIBZ » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:49 pm

Hey, I'm an undergrad in fundamental math in Paris, and am thinking about selling my soul to the devil and go onto a Master in finance.
Where I live (Paris), the most of the most for becoming a quant is to do either the Master de Probabilités et Finance (used to be called DEA El Karoui) or the Master de Modélisation Aléatoire (used to be called DEA Laure Elie).

My question is; have anyone in the Quant business outside France ever heard about those Masters degrees?

As it's ultra selective, I'd like to know if I wouldn't be better in a Msc in the US or GB.

Thanks,

Pedro.

the DEA El Karoui is well known and will give the impression that you are strong at stochastic calculus.
