From theoretical physics to quantitative finance

Postby saba » Tue Nov 04, 2014 9:09 am

Hi Mark,

I am looking for my first job in quantitative finance.
I have a PhD in theoretical physics and currently, I am doing my post doc in Singapore. I have experience in
programming and have been reading "The concepts and practice of mathematical finance".

Obviously, it is more likely to find a job if you collaborate with some recruiters especially when you don't have any
work experience in quantitative finance. I am not limited to Singapore in terms of the job location.

Could you please suggest some recruiters who might be interested in my profile?

you could try Black Ocean

http://www.blackoceanrecruitment.com/Find%20Us/FindUs.html

there are a lot fewer recruiters than there used to be.
