hi Mark
I am 29 with a Bachelors in math and masters in IT.( with no remarkable grades). However I am good at maths and it is a dream to have a math related career.
I learned about quants almost a year ago and since then i have been studying C++ and financial math , inconsistently, since I was doing C++/PHP projects on my own.one of them intended to find arbitrage opportunities in betfair(a betting exchange) market.
Now I am dedicating all my time studying your books so I can get involved in Quantlib project.Do you think this will help me to get a quant job?? I mean would a contribution to quantlib be an indication of my competency and compensate for poor grades and no experience? considering I am currently in Australia?
thanks in advance
